March 2010 saw us attending our first 'All Breed' dog of the year at Camrose Alberta.
We took along, Lonnkyle Penny Farthing and a seven month old puppy Hawkhaven Merrimen Tuck, making his show debut.
What a great start to the year with Tuck going best puppy in group.
Rachel also won third in Junior Novice with her Basset 'Gummi'
Red Deer over the Easter weekend, saw
Ch. Hawkhaven Ceo Mab getting placed 1st in group on Friday, 3rd in group on Saturday and 1st in group on Sunday. Sunday also saw Ch. Hawkhaven Cian Rowanne obtain her final ticket in Rally.
What a wonderful weekend. Congratulations to Mab and Rowanne's owners, David and Sharon.
April saw us venturing to the Edmonton show. This was a very special show for us in more ways than one. We were to attend the 1st Mid-western Branch IWCC Specialty on the Saturday under judge John Lewington from Australia. Hawkhaven Merrimen Tuck amazed us by going Best Puppy in Show on the Friday, Best of Winners and Best puppy in the Wolfhound Specialty and Best Puppy in Group on the Sunday in the Open show.
July saw us at the Evelyn Kenny Show. This time we took along Hawkhaven Merrimen Little John, Hawkhaven Merrimen Isabelle and Hawkhaven Fionn Taffy. John and Izzy did very well for their first show, with Taffy getting back into the swing after a years break. All three won their classes.
The end of July saw us off to Spruce Meadows for the Alberta Kennel Club Show. As there are hound specialties attached to this show we took along Tuck, Izzy and Taffy. Putting the youngsters in alternative classes. What a great show, Taffy obtained enough points to earn her Championship. Tuck went Best of Winners and Best Puppy on all three days entered in the Open show and going Best of Breed, Best of Winner and Best Puppy in the Foothills Gazehound Club Specialty under judge Mary White and Ch. Hawkhaven Ceo Mab going Best of Opposite. What a great show.
